Celebrate Your Journey to Success
This year’s conferment speaker, Dr. Robert D. Ballard, has conducted more than 100 deep-sea expeditions throughout his career. Each voyage led to new discoveries, most notably his 1985 discovery of the Titanic.
Like Dr. Ballard’s, your journey has led to discovery. As you progressed through your CPCU studies, you learned new knowledge and skills, gained greater personal insight, and broadened your professional horizons. Also like Dr. Ballard, you may have faced some challenges along the way. But great leaders find creative solutions to overcome obstacles, and the time has arrived to celebrate your success. We are confident you will be inspired as Dr. Ballard shares with you his message of teamwork, discovery, and vision.
Dr. Ballard has succeeded in tracking down numerous significant shipwrecks. In addition to being a National Geographic Society explorer in residence and a commissioner on the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy, he is the founder and president of the Institute for Exploration at Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, Conn. Dr. Ballard has received 13 honorary degrees and 6 military awards and has served in the U.S. Naval Reserve as a commander for 30 years.

Diplomas
The Institutes provide diplomas without charge. When CPCU candidates are certified as having met the ethics, experience, and education requirements, diplomas are printed and mailed.
Regional Diploma Presentations
Many CPCU Society chapters conduct post-conferment regional diploma presentations to provide an opportunity for local insurance communities to recognize professional achievement and to formally welcome new members of the CPCU Society.
